lyrics

Flower power, piece of cake
Wind wailing on the kiss of a sigh
Two emotions, one giving, one blessing
They leave it wide open
Take a piece that will eventually die

Sun shining, grass growing
Hearts tremble at the miniscule lie
Two emotions, one smug and one startled
They twist and they break
They kill what they never thought would die

There’s a building out there somewhere
Full of hundreds of empty rooms
There’s a spiral slide that you can use to go down
But there’s rooms in there you’ll never want to go in again
I lived there once when the beehive was burning
But then again I’ve lived all over

Jagged windows, broken hearts
Fingers groping for a piece of the pie
Two emotions, one bitter, one twisted
They fumble they fight
For a feeling that will only die

Fires burning, bodies broken
Hands are reaching for a crack in the sky
Two emotions, one taking, one getting
They claw and they bite
For a second that can only die

Waterfalls of ice, rivers of fire
A giant tap floating way up in the sky
Power pylons stretching out as far as the eye can see
You’re chained to the wall in the tower
With the ant machine standing by
It’s the saddest feeling I’ve ever had
Nothing to eat but a few small bones
